Black Canary kicks the jerks out of the house.

???, Day 375. Onyx gemstone, polish to use. (infinite)

Stephanie, on the job as the Spoiler, follows Black Canary as she pokes around in someone's apartment, looking for clues on Bruce Wayne -- because he's suspected for murder, and the lady who died (whose apartment they're in) had a ton of pictures of him hanging around her apartment. However, Steph isn't super sneaky, and gets caught by Black Canary, who demands to know why she's there.

Steph admits that Batman has disappeared, and that her training with him was half complete. So, if Black Canary didn't mind, could she possibly tag along and learn from her? Black Canary agrees, remembering Babs's own days of determined hanger-on to the Bat family, and the two head off to continue their investigation into this lady's death. Not that Stephanie knows anything about what's going on, because no one will tell her, for privacy reasons. Black Canary says that Oracle believes that Bruce Wayne is innocent, even though he's been tried and found guilty already. The two of them head back to the Birds of Prey headquarters to talk to Oracle in person.

Oracle says she'll need some time, and tells Black Canary to go help sort out Stephanie's home problems -- which she reluctantly agreed to. As they drive out to the suburbs, Steph fills her in: her dad is the Cluemaster, the Riddler is living in her house and has a professional relationship with her dad, who she's been warned off of stopping. Her dad knows she works with Batman, so it's gotten complicated.

Steph explains that her dad owns the mortgage on the house, so they legally can't kick him out -- and even though it's illegal for him to own property because he's a convicted criminal or some such thing, Steph's mom can't afford a lawyer to kick him out. So they're stuck with him and all of his terrible friends. Black Canary decides she's heard enough and runs up to the house -- when the thugs answer the door, she does the Canary Call at them, knocking the door off of the hinges and sending them flying. Once they're thoroughly trounced, she threatens to call the Justice Society on them, mentioning that they'll not be as nice as she is. All of the thugs -- including Steph's dad -- leave and don't look back.
