Memory 11 / Triv Negative
So excuse me if I don't jump when you bark, Batman.

Duckling, Day 309. Bell; ring to view. [1/3]

( Robin 015-016 )

Stephanie gets kidnapped by a guy named Gully and some goons, who are working for her father, Arthur Brown (AKA, the Cluemaster). She gets held as ransom to make sure everyone holds up their end of the deal -- but when Gully stops paying her father, Cluemaster is more than happy to get the Bats involved. Thankfully, Robin gets there right before they shoot poor Steph in the head. He begins to fight the bad guys and admonishes her for not helping him -- but, as she dryly reminds him, she's handcuffed to a bed and quite unable to get up. Eventually they end up using the bed as a weapon and busting through before making a run for it.

Steph gets in a kiss or two, and some ridiculous notions on what constitutes a romantic date -- like being surrounded by armed murderers -- but they eventually get away. The two of them shuffle off to meet Batman and discuss the situation about the Cluemaster, because apparently there's one part of the puzzle that he didn't send them that is the most important heist of them all.

Steph and Robin find the bad guys, and Steph immediately jumps into action, almost getting herself killed in the process....

They put Gully and the goons away, save the diamond, and then Stephanie pays a call to her dear father over in Arkham. The guard gives her ten minutes, and while he's helpless, unarmed, and pretty much handcuffed, she beats the shit out of him.

Ah, family love. :)

Effects:
- 1000000000 affection for daddy dearest
+50 knowledge that the impulsivity has gotten a lot tamer over the years
(But not by much.)
-100 Affection for Batman
• Wow Robin is such a rich white kid.
• Unlocked: at least a little knowledge that Stephanie feels inferior to Robin in a lot of ways! This time, especially economic and judicially/superhero-wise. She definitely feels like he doesn't understand her situation with her bad dad, because he's got it great: Batman likes him, everyone accepts him, etc.
• Mostly this memory just gives her more hilarious ideas about romance and makes her upset about Robin, Batman, and most of all her terrible dad.
