Steph likes Dick, in a shortened sense! When he arrived, she was really unsure -- because the only memory she had of him was Dick telling Babs that Steph is a liability and why are you encouraging her, blah blah, he's super stressed out and angry. But he's been nothing but good-natured and very friendly, in a way that reminds her a lot of herself! So it's really like talking to someone who is a more experienced optimist in the field, which she appreciates. She's grown to really think of him as a big brother-type (perhaps not using those exact words, but she certainly sees him as 'bat family'). The cry wolf game and the trauma game fallout have just sort of solidified that for her. She wants him to like her and respect her because she likes and respects him! '-'

So what do you figure Yeine will think of Iolite's roster changes?

Steph has actually been one of the bats that's had more... realistic expectations of him, in Dick's opinion. For some reason, she remembered him being a complete jerk to her and that's been something that's kept Dick fairly leveled when there's others saying he's like the best person ever or something. So, yeah, he may have been playing nice to start with out of confusion and wanting to make up for it and just kind of wanted to be the cool guy that everyone else saw him as for her, too, but now Steph's pretty much seen Dick when he's stressed, when he's upset, when he's just completely not functioning, when he's thoroughly traumatized... and he's really come to value her random bouts of insight whenever they talk. It's refreshing to actually talk to someone who's been in the same line of work and yet keeps an upbeat, fun-loving, hopeful attitude about things. So she's been way more of a little sister thing to him than he'll come to remember.

Moooostly, he still wants to be the awesome cool older bro thing and doesn't know if he's succeeding at that, but he at least knows with Steph, they're cool with each other and so, he feels a BIT more comfortable making small mistakes now and again with or around her. '-'a

TALK TO ME ABOUT STEPH'S MIRA-GAME FEELS.

SO COMPLICATED. Maybe in ways that he doesn't really recognize? Basically, Steph feels both that Tim is the best friend she could ask for and that she also really, really likes him. But then again, he's got Cass (and they are super cute, and she likes that Cass keeps him a little bit more down to earth), and probably more important to her is that she has Mako, so she's like.....is that okay?

Also a part of her is like "no just be friends we don't know enough yet to really be in a relationship especially considering you remember he's engaged" and another part just says "SHUT UP STEPH and kiss him!!!"

She mostly goes with the second one. It'll probably cause complications later, but she's hoping that everything works out smoothly. But yeah, best friend, cutie, she's happy he's here and really wants to hang out with him a lot :x

Because of the way I've been giving her memories back, Stephanie does remember a whole lot of Tim -- which means that currently, Mako holds her chief affections, and he really hasn't done anything to diminish those feelings. She was a little surprised by the development, considering she was flirting with so many dudes including Bolin, and then suddenly they kissed in the kissing game and it was like. . . romantic magic? Alcoholic magic? Whatever it was, it reminded her a lot of her meeting with Tim, that same sort of weird spark, so she's glad that she followed through with it because he's magnificent >3>!!

WELL it's hard to say! I think overall she'll like that Vincent is gone a-ahahaha.....! He was the only person she truly disliked, so now that he's gone she'll be much more likely to hang out around Iolite and I think, really get to know some of the newer people. Overall she will always strive for balance: she's the goddess of dawn and twilight, and the grey areas between white and black, so she'll always be inclined to think that her team is a 'balanced' sort of right. Which means she'll probably get along with them just fine o7

Also she will probably mom at Dean when she becomes and goddess and actually acts like she is 100-something years old instead of 19.

They're not bad! Dean feels to her like he'll make a decent bro if he doesn't break himself doing stupid things before he gets a decent amount of skill and memory back. She doesn't know what to think about the basketball player because he's giant but he's also young and probably deserves looking after. And little moe girl is definitely giving her MUST LOOK OUT FOR AND NOT CAUSE TROUBLE. And guilt because they seem genuinely nice but then they ended up here.

So what drew you to your characters?

So. Because Tim has to complicate everything, there's Tim & Steph, and there's Eclipse & Sunshine. (He really likes how their Aather names complement one another, too).

Tim & Steph is this relationship he has in his memory, which is both an idealized thing and something he sees as something he badly screwed up. His changed, more social Aather perspective hasn't really made him better at people, but it's made it easier for him to see when he's been unfair or a downright jackass, which is about 50% of his Steph memories - and the other half are awesome adventures and makeouts and really quite a lot of Steph totally saving him, even if he's sometimes ungrateful about it. He hasn't yet seen the reasons he & Batman were skeptical of Spoiler, so his image is a little idealized... but that's okay, because back then he almost never gave her the benefit of the doubt, so it's just that the tables have turned.

He really wants what they have or are developing now to be... the redemption of his screw-ups then. Eclipse & Sunshine have a chance to get things right. He can, he hopes, be a better boyfriend. He admires her, and he loves her, although that's sort of a mixed-up amalgamation of his positive feelings now being reinforced by memories of how much she meant to him back home... but he's nervous, kind of intimidated by all the things he remembers that he hasn't told her, and by all the memories of him acting like a jackass. He second-guesses himself a lot... when they're not around one another. When they are, his Steph-dere is just too strong and "shut up and kiss her" predominates.

He hasn't seen too much of Mako yet, but he's very much leaped head-first into embracing Aather's polygamous ways, without a lot of self-examination, because it solves problems for him. He doesn't have to worry about his memories of juggling multiple girls back in Gotham, doesn't have to worry about whether he wants to pursue Steph or Cass (or Annabeth, or how much he likes kissing games), doesn't have to worry about Cass and Naha... I mean, I think it's sort of all the right things but for somewhat wrong reasons? It's a shortcut, and socially, Tim & Eclipse have always loved taking shortcuts.

But for all that kind of sounds pessimistic, I think Aather also has him in a much better headspace to appreciate who Steph is. That relentless positivity, that determination, the way that so many people here (him included) are prone to 'Try, fail. try again, fail better.'

He's also a little torn. Due to a lot of factors - the relationship getting started first here, Cass being more experienced, memory shenanigans, Legacies having more free time than active knights... he's done a lot more boyfriend-girlfriend stuff with Cass than Steph, and he's torn between worry about rushing things and the desire to sweep Steph off her feet, because he doesn't want his girlfriends to feel they're not on equal footing with him.

SO COMPLICATED would also be a good summary. He very much runs hot & cold.
